Privacy policy
This page explains what happens to information you give us through this website, and what you can ask us to do about it. It covers the enquiry forms, the cookies this site sets, and the companies that handle data on our behalf.
Who is responsible
Wbridge L.L.C-FZ, trading as WorldWideBridge, operates this website from Meydan Grandstand, 6th floor, Meydan Road, Nad Al Sheba, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
For anything on this page, including a request about your own data, write to info@wwbridges.com. It is a monitored inbox and it reaches the people who can act on it.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry we receive what you typed: the product or question, and either a phone number or an email address depending on which form you used — plus, on the longer form, your name, company, country and product category. Only one way to reach you and a description of what you need are required. A phone number is used to call you back about that enquiry and for nothing else: we send no marketing to it. If you asked for a callback, it is also held in the system we use to make sure the call is made, described below.
Each enquiry also carries a short technical record of where it came from, so that we can tell which pages, buttons and channels produce enquiries: the page you sent it from and the page before it, the button or link you pressed to reach the form, any campaign parameters that were in the address bar, the site that referred you and — where that site discloses it — the search phrase, how long the page was open before you pressed send, and what your browser reports about itself: its name and version, operating system, window size, language and time zone. From the connection itself, as resolved by our hosting provider, we take the country, the city and region, and the network it belongs to; the IP address is not kept. None of this is used to build a profile of you, and it is never sold or shared for advertising.
This site asks for no payment details anywhere, and we do not knowingly collect anything from children.
Analytics and cookies
Two kinds of measurement run here, and they work differently.
Cloudflare, which hosts and delivers this site, counts visits at the level of its own network: page views, referring sites and countries, in aggregate. It stores nothing on your device and identifies nobody, so it needs no permission and runs for everyone.
Google Analytics is the other kind. It sets cookies, and it runs only if you press Accept in the notice at the foot of the page. Until you do, nothing belonging to Google is loaded and no request is sent to it. If you press Decline, or simply ignore the notice, that stays true.
Microsoft Clarity is the same kind of measurement and it asks for more. As well as counting, it records what happens on the page while you are on it — where the pointer moves, what is clicked, how far the page is scrolled — so that we can see where a page confuses people instead of guessing. It runs only if you press Accept. It sets two cookies of its own, named _clck and _clsk, and it is set to mask text, so what you type into an enquiry form is not recorded. Until you accept, nothing belonging to Microsoft is loaded and no request is sent to it.
Your choice is stored in your own browser under the name wwb.consent, so that we do not ask again. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which brings the notice back. One other value is kept there for the length of your visit, wwb.hero, which records which version of the homepage introduction you were shown so that we can tell which one people respond to. If you press Accept, two more values are kept for the length of your visit, wwb.entry and wwb.pages: the page you arrived on, the site that sent you there and the time, and a count of the pages you saw — so that an enquiry sent a few pages later can still say where the visit began. Nothing is written to them until you accept.
Google Ads is the third thing the same button covers. When a visit begins from one of our adverts, it tells us whether that visit ended in an enquiry, so that we can see which adverts are worth paying for. It runs only if you press Accept. It sets cookies of its own on this site, whose names begin with _gcl and which last 90 days, and it reports the enquiry to Google. We do not use it to show you adverts elsewhere: the signal we send Google refuses personalised advertising, so what it learns here may not be used to target you with adverts. Beyond that, this site sets no advertising cookies and takes part in no cross-site tracking.
Who else handles it
Cloudflare hosts this site, so every request necessarily passes through its network.
Enquiries reach us as email, delivered by Resend, which acts on our instructions.
A request for a callback — a phone number with no email address — is also recorded in a customer relationship management system operated on our behalf, so that someone is assigned to make the call and it is not lost. It holds the number you gave us and what you asked about.
Google receives analytics data and, where a visit began from an advert, the fact that it ended in an enquiry — but only from visitors who accepted — and processes it in the United States and other countries where it operates.
Microsoft receives the page recordings described above, again only from visitors who accepted, and processes them in the United States and other countries where it operates.
These companies act on our instructions and may not use what they handle for us for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
Enquiry correspondence is kept while your question is open and for up to 24 months afterwards, so that the person answering a returning client can see the history. The same period applies to the callback record described above. Longer only where a contract or a legal obligation requires it.
Analytics data is kept for no longer than 14 months.
Recordings themselves are kept for 30 days. If we mark one to come back to, it is kept for nine months, and so are the aggregate figures drawn from them — which pages were visited and where people clicked.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to our using it. Write to info@wwbridges.com and say what you want. We reply within one working day and complete the request within 30 days.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority. Visitors in the United Arab Emirates have equivalent rights under UAE data protection law.
